Aria Palm-Top Computer Add-Ons

Items which can be purchased as optional extras for the Aria Palm-Top Computer:-

·       Leather Carry Bag – this is a ‘glove-fit’ case for the Aria.  It has a carry strap included.  There is also a small pocket for a memory card.

·       Serial Communications Adaptor – this is a special adaptor, which fits into the miniature serial connector on the rear edge of the Aria and facilitates connection to a standard 25 pin ‘D’ type connector.

·       Parallel Adaptor – this adaptor facilitates connection of a standard printer cable as fitted to the LPT port on a PC and enables a printer to be connected to the Aria.

·       Floppy Disc Drive – a 1.44 MB FDD is available for the Aria.  It is connected to the Aria parallel printer port using the parallel adaptor described above.

·       Hard Disc Drive – HDD drives are available for the Aria.  They come in various sizes from 6.4 GB upwards.

·       Memory Cards – PCMCIA memory cards are available for the Aria.  Sizes range from 1MB to 64MB depending on availability.  Cards are type1 and can be either FLASH or SRAM types.

·       Power Supply (SPARE) – Mains power supply/chargers are available separately.

·       Braille Manual – this is available as an optional extra.

·       Text Printers – suitable printers are available for supplying text copy of the files stored in the Aria.  Printers are connected to the parallel port on the Aria.  If the port is in use by either a FDD or HDD then the printer is connected via the relevant disc drive in piggyback fashion.
